Where will the proceeds go?

100% of the proceeds from Liquid Hope will go to the Haiti Water Project in partnership with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (www.ncm.org) .

The Haiti Water Project (www.haitiwaterproject.com) is working to build deep fresh water wells at 500 churches across the country. These wells will provide clean water to 1 million people. Haiti is home to over 8 million people and over 50% of them do not have access to clean water. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere and among the most water depraved countries in the world. One in eight children in Haiti do not live to see their fifth birthday due to a lack of water, water born illnesses and malnutrition.

Through our partnership with the Haiti Water Project we will build 5 wells that will give water, hope and life to 10,000 people. For more information about how you can get involved please feel free to contact me at tbritton@chicagofirstnaz.org .

What is LIQUID HOPE?

Liquid Hope is a project Launched by Chicago First Church of the Nazarene (http://www.chicagofirstnaz.org/) with the intent of being a small part of the solution for the Global Water Crisis. We are selling 10,000 bottles of water for $50 per case or they can purchased individually from the Clay Cup in atrium of the church for $2.00. The goal of the project is to raise $15,000 that would be applied to supplying safe, clean drinking water to some the 1.1 billion people on Earth who currently do not have access to it. If the project is successful each bottle sold will represent one person who will have water for the rest of their life.

The project is also a part of a nation wide movement of churches called Advent Conspiracy. During the Christmas season AC is challenging people to WORSHIP FULLY, SPEND LESS, GIVE MORE and LOVE ALL. You can learn more about AC at their web site in the video below or by visiting their web site at http://www.adventconspiracy.com/ .

The projected was initiated and is being led by one of the churches youth pastor's Tim Britton. For more information about liquid hope you can email him at tbritton@chicagofirstnaz.org . For more information about EDGE Student Ministry please visit www.nazegdge.com .
